What this site collects
This site doesn't use cookies and doesn't run ads or trackers. We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which records page views without cookies and without identifying you.
If you write to us through the contact form, we receive your name, your email address and your message. The form is handled by our host, Netlify. We use what you send only to reply to you, we don't share it or add you to any mailing list, and we delete messages after 12 months. To have a message deleted sooner, write to us through the same form.
Links to YouTube
The case files link to our videos on YouTube. Once you are on YouTube, Google's privacy policy applies.
Content and credits
The videos and the text on this site belong to Nightwatch Files. Archive photos, documents, recordings and stock footage belong to their owners and are used under public domain, Creative Commons or stock licenses; each video credits them in its description. Reconstructions are labelled ILLUSTRATION on screen.
The cases are told for information and entertainment. They describe what witnesses reported and what the sources say, and we point out where accounts disagree. If a rights holder believes something was used incorrectly, contact us and we will look at it right away.
